Definition:
Mental condition: A type of manic behavior found in the Blooperverse and other growth fiction
Blooperverse characters sometimes become greedy for growth from transformative experiences or have a pre-existing personality trait making them constantly un satisfied of the current state of their lives. Characters always striving for more of many things, like money, popularity, personal possessions or constantly remodeling their homes, renewing their closets... are more prone to developping Growth greed.
When Growth greed sets in, the character will usually make excuses for their behavior, saying they only ned a little more because of their feeling un inadequacy or injustice versus others who have more. (power, strength, size...) Other subjects will try to market their desire as benificial to others through seduction, temptation, corruption or some other sort of competitive advantage for the second or third party. (See example bellow) In some cases, the Character may resort to violence or blackmail.
In second stage, the character has reached the "top tier" relative to the environement but still want more and the delusion of having a higher purpose sets in. They say, and sometimes believe they could achieve so much more if they could grow beyond the glass ceiling. The subject is usually willing to take riskier means to reach their ends.
In the third stage, the character usually becomes a danger to others and its environment, adopting a tripolar attitude towards their desire for growth and the universe itself. Anything or anyone not helping them is either against them or simply matter to be consumed, used and dismissed as collateral.
At the fourth and final stage, the character will actively seeks conflict to have a feeling of accomplishment by overcoming a foe or challenge until there are no more. If or when there are no more challenges to be found, the subject will either go mad or fall into depression. Outside of the blooperverse, the character sometimes achieve some sort of godhood allowing it to reset the timeline or permanently alter reality.
A character will only overcome this condition through deep introspection, transformative experiences, Yoga or other epiphany.
